Facing the Giants

On Sunday, Pastor Joshua gave a word on this particular topic based on the story of David and Goliath (1 Samuel 17). I want to ask you, what is or are your giants? What are those things that you "feel" are hindering you from being or getting to where you need to be?

Doubt
Unbelief
Fear
Addictions of sorts
Opinions of others
On and on and on...

Pastor Joshua gave us a list of things that could be hindering us, but I'm sure YOU have already figured out what they are in YOUR life. One thing he challenged me and many others to do is to STOP comparing those giants to OURSELVES. When we look at them in a fleshly perspective... YES! They are quite overwhelming, looming over our shadowed destiny. However, we are SPIRIT beings who, as ones claiming Christ as Savior, are heirs of a SOVEREIGN king... a GREAT Daddy! If we acknowledge Him as our Father, how come we don't acknowledge Him as our Savior from these giants? Instead of comparing those giants to OURSELVES, we need to compare them to our Heavenly Father. When we do that, how big do you REALLY think those giants are? Not very big at all. So, let's stop trying to face the giants ourselves; instead, let's trust in God and let the giants face their ultimate threat... ABBA FATHER.

We have to get to the place that we KNOW that our God reigns and He is BIGGER than any problem, situation, threat or circumstance. We must stop complicating Him because He is not complicated. He is a loving God who had an awesome dream about each of us. Don't allow the giants to block you from seeing you dream (destiny). Praise Him!!
